I'm not sure they are waiting for on BWX. They have access to the Data room and will probably make their firm offer (if they do at all) once BWX announce their results. As we know, the results will be weak and the sentiment we have seen on this thread will probably prevail. Previous to the SP drop, the sentiment was it was an opportunistic bid and investors were expecting more.

So looks like it has been played near perfectly by Bain and Co.

Good thread title: "Do we have the courage???" 46% upside!! Price action seems to indicate the deal is dead or are we being played????

It's close to a no brainer buy for the risk/reward on offer for those who don't have a position already, IMO.
