No doubt the friends of the bid have ensured the bid price looks very good as we approach the FY report and TO update. Nothing has changed since the bid by Bain and Co. They would have been aware of the weak numbers and high risk of litigation now before the courts. In fact, they would have relied on it to get their bid over the line. Just my opinion without trying to be too paranoid. But as anyone can read from the litigation documents, the PE game is a dirty business and no legal (or borderline legal) methods are off the table in these matters.
