I thought this thread was pretty balanced, but then I have a lot of nutters on ignore. Turnbull would have been my pick for PM out of the last 20 years or so, irrespective of which party he chose to seek endorsement from. He was a centrist and would have been less divisive on the political landscape than any of those we have had, or are currently being offered.
BTW Labor picked up 4 primary votes for every three that the Libs did in the last election and the Libs bled more than 4 votes for every one that Labor lost. You can arrange the statistics any way you like to support an agenda, but in our system Government is determined by how many swine you can herd into the same pen.
