Watso, I have long wondered, if the government wanted re kickstart our manufacturing industry is it able to subsidise energy price to such beneficiation industries. This could easily be done by directing money into increasing base load power generation,hence lowering the price to all. This is the opposite of import tariffs which would be invalid under free trade rules. China I am sure are doing just this. Oh as long as you can stop the unions and greenies from spoiling it as happened in the past
