I have seen Cathy Freeman a couple of times:

once she was at the local Abbotsford milkbar I go to for lunch*

I was looking at the display of food and her that familiar voice of hers: "what's that?"

and the milk bar fella said: "A falafel"

so she said: "I'll have a falafel"

I also saw her nearby on the Boulevard when I was going for a run, she was running too. She wasn't running with an Australian flag.

She was running in the other direction otherwise I would surely have overtaken her.

*uninteresting footnote that I have also at that milkbar spied Brenden Fevola (who ordered fried chicken strips during the playing season when at Carlton, tut tut) and Damien Monkhorst, Collingwood premiership ruckman and man mountain.
