exactly, CSIDER, love and hatred are raw emotions initiated by the stimuli of persons, situations........or objects (my whippersnipper, lol). Though mostly I would have thought we DID understand them....except when we were teens & experiencing deep unbridled testosterone-driven lust that we THOUGHT was love.
Your description of 2 of the causes of hatred are spot on, too. The other causes are instinctive (funny how you can instinctively hate or dislike), or situational (my whippersnipper again).
