Well it depends whether or not the country's blue collar workers want wage increases and better conditions.
It's become pretty bloody obvious that the more our unions are eroded by the Libs/Nats the less chance anyone will see decent pay increases and or better conditions. Many companies are raking in very solid profits yet fail to reward those who do the hard yards for those profits made.
Unions become militant because companies become greedier.
I'm pretty sure NO UNION MEMBER wants to go to war with the company that employs them but when they become greedy grubs then the gloves need to come off to give the company a hit to their hip pocket to gain some attention/action.
Yes, some unions have at times pricked it out unnecessarily and that sort of behaviour needs to stop!
