I'd agree with that. I admire your optimism @mechanic and I am sorry for your losses given you are a little bit older, however from what I know at my own work's corporate restructuring unit, handing back board control is a very rare outcome.

In reality, we have little cash and no revenue streams, we do not have a deal, and we have a corporate structure which effectively has retained IP in private hands - which in one scenario is advantageous as it would have protected LPD from buyout, but on the other hand, means that the owner of that private interest has been able to treat LPD like a quasi-special purpose vehicle (Ok we own one or two assets, the Namibian mine/a few tenements etc, however it's worthless without processing). We've got all the liabilities, which shouldn't in theory be much - unsure of the status of office leases - and employee entitlements.

I wouldn't expect much out of this and if miraculously somehow a deal was cobbled together - put yourself in the other side's shoes - they could offer the most paltry deal imaginable and we would have to take it, or effectively buy the assets for cents on the dollar. Existing shareholders would be left with a homeopathic dose of equity.

I think the chance of LPD renewal or survival from here is approaching absolute zero though I'd be watching for any amazing new companies with Cornish Lithium tech and Gazza Johnson attached popping up in the next few years, especially if lithium prices start edging up. Again, I hope holders are doing ok on other investments. Happy christmas/new year to all.
