Because they’re the only professionally managed trials that have been done - they’re all we have to go on right now. And you’ll note that I said clearly that the results were inconclusive- what, exactly, is unethical about that? What is unethical is:
- running a tiny, non-blinded trial with no attempt to match treatment and control groups
- fudging the outcome data to make it look better than it is
- publishing the results in your own vanity journal to give it the appearance but not the substance of peer review
- then going on Fox News to trumpet it to the world as a wonder treatment and yourself as the saviour of humanity.
