You been to the US lately? Chronic illness is strongly associated with obesity and hypertension. You can't eat like a pig, not exercise for decades and come out of it at the end as an athletic specimen. This has been decades in the making. Take away the very very poor people in the US, there's an extreme amount of obesity. It's an issue to a lesser extent being duplicated around the western world.
