Doctors leaving

There seems to be a shortage of doctors - more leaving than joining. Pay, conditions and culture appear to be the grievances cited. Lack of medical leadership as well as a bean counting management approach are some of the comments from doctors who have left.

The million dollar question then is what will the company do to retain their doctors. No doctors = no income. And makes it ripe for takeover or bankruptcy. I’m betting takeover.

Results call will be interesting. Key will be turnover and margin. Did both increase and enough to indicate a turning of the tide. Based on doctor commentary the prediction is for a big NO on both fronts. Question to ask is why doctors are leaving and what company is doing to change the culture and improve retention. Time for a few more heads to roll - if I was running it “Yup”. Head of HR, chief medico, probably chief exec too. New blood either by a clean sweep exec or takeover is about the only thing that will save this company. Much like capital and the john Conidi days… and we’ve seen the after effects of that cultural poison for 7+ years now.
