A good knee surgeon might do 4-6 knee replacements in a week, and maybe 10-15 arthroscopies for knee pain….
GP’s generally do have favourite surgeons, but not for financial reasons. If you have a surgeon you know well, who will pick up the phone and give you advice, who provides quick access when you have an urgent problem, and who you know does good work, you will keep referring. Anyone else is a spin of the roulette wheel….
