it's very effective at killing momentum and creating doubt in retail holders. Means they can continue to pick off weak or frustrated holders. No need to buy and buy when they can play with your emotions with a simple algo and keep their average lower.
it creates easy opportunity for uneducated negative sentiment. Obviously it only works in certain conditions and for so long. It got away from them eventually last time it was happening but worth another shot again obviously.
