Under S671B of the Corporations Act, there is an obligation for shareholders owning more than 5% (and every 1% increment afterwards) to lodge Substantial Shareholder Notices. These must be lodged within 2 business days and carries criminal penalties.

The Corporations Act is governed and administrated by The Australian Securities & Investments Commission and therefore does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Australian Securities Exchange.
