Interesting. I did a revenue multiple to avoid having to assume expenses and tax. FYI, the E in PE ratio is NPAT.
So, just to be clear, you are assuming expenses and tax of $1.7m pa (ie 1 cent) and that SLX will distribute 100% of its NPAT. Also, as I understand finance theory, when you are dealing with a PE multiple it is irrelevant whether company pays a dividend or indeed retains all its NPAT.
Anyway, even on 6 cents of royalty revenue, that would assume IQE’s revenue increasing by ( .06*170*.56*20) GBP 114m pa.
