I think you don't appreciate the intellectual interest some people take in GCN and P1.
We are looking at an exceptionally rare and fascinating scenario being played out on the ASX.
At such a stimulating time, some people like to discuss the pros and cons of a successful outcome of GCN/P1 - regardless of the effects on themselves and others financially. You mentioned BHP. Where would the same excitement be in discussing the pros and cons of BHP? Dead boring.
Intellectual interest does exist. Honestly.
And another thing. Some posters suggest negative posters are to be condemned for robbing people from benefiting if the share price for GCN rises. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Are not positive posters to be condemned for robbing people if the whole deal goes pear shaped?
So I think it is best to stay off attributing motives to posters - unless they are just posting mindless upwards or downwards ramping.
