You are talking about a politician who reached the top as a way to praise another politician who has also reached the top, think about it.

All politicians are liars, part of the necessary skill set to even run for a spot on the local council.
All politicians need to be able sell an idea, policy, sincerely say sorry or praise an opposition colleague with sincerity even though they are burning up with anger/disdain inside.

What is a good politician and which one do you think is likely to actually not be the Unicorn in the major party’s of today or any other day?

A- A politician who is honest and forthright and has no history of lying?

B- A politician that has a bit of a history of being caught out stretching the truth often, caught out tellin at least a few big fat one’s, is very good at telling half truths and can still get elected?

I reckon our previous PM was an absolute Flog, he didn’t do much for me but he could enunciate his word’s in a manner that didn’t grate overly much.
Our current PM isn’t any higher or lower in my Flog Rating’s but I will say that the his style of enunciation does make me cringe a bit.

I know that it shouldn’t matter and I accept that we all talk differently, his accent shouldn’t even be an issue!
But quirky speech/heavy accents are a negative in the world of politics as opponents and satirists can lampoon the individual with easy and as you should know, we all like laughing at our politicians.

I will provide you with a positive, though.

How good a politician is our current PM! He made it to the pinnacle of Australian politics while keeping his “I’m the son of a single mother” from an average Australian suburb and being able to keep his accent.

As obviously, he is an excellent politician (based on how I interpret “a good politician”).

The previous PM was also an “excellent” politician also, he got the gig even though he was a “happy clapper” Hillsong type (no offence to anyone who likes Hillsong but less well known churches can alienate many).

pollies are the stuff at the bottom of the birdcage that can’t really be identified. They always look like the first loser who gets voted off survivor. It’s a good thing they don’t do much.
