The successful type politician would be the one that looks like a deadset loser who makes it to the last group of a Survivor program and has you thinking that the whole show is a shame.

I can understand why you wrote the last sentence but I don’t think it is actually true.

If they did next to nothing we would probably not notice them.
The real worry is when they actually try and do “something”.

Whenever they commit to doing something it would seem that they always underestimate the costs to implement whatever it may be and over estimate the benefits/importance of doing whatever it may be.

I find comfort in the fact that it takes a certain kind of person to be a politician and knowing that, means I am never as disappointed with any politician as a dedicated supporter of any particular political party.
