My accountant calls it trading,but I call it medium term investing.For example,in the last 12 months I divested my portfolio of bank stocks(most of them,still holding some ANZ,purely a tax thing)and invested in reset preference shares on initial issue,iagpa,sevpa,djspa,...as soon as I feel the time is right,will divest of those and change into other things...like currently looking as slm,tah,more aln...still hold them from previous buys+others.I dont trade parcels between,$20000-$50000.00.My banks consisted of 35% of my portfolio..does this give you enough idea of what I mean.
