The other big problem is the unchecked manipulation in commodities trading . If toyu look at the problem with many companies ,much of the root problems can be traced back to commodity volatility from funds that dont even know what colour copper is .The huge cash involved swamps the markets both ways .
Look what happened in zinc and Nickel .Prices were allowed to go through the roof ,and when miners borrow money to build a mine ,the hedge funds push it the other way .Unfortunately the speculative money causes an over reaction both ways .Now we have the miners going broke and thousands of people losing their jobs .Then in two years there will be another demand problem again .The government regulators that allow this to happen are negligent and the funds that initiate this are nothing but corporate vandals ,destroying wealth and in the case of many miners ,their jobs .The governments need to stop the yoyo effect .They also allow short selling on top of that .Simply, companies cannot operate with these exrtreme conditions .Only the lowest cost producers can be assured of making money .The rest are in the casino that the government regulators have created .Its a disgrace .
