Natural Fuel To Sell Biodiesel Business And Assets In Singapore
06/22/2009
On June 22, Natural Fuel Limited said that it will still accept expressions of interest for its biodiesel business and assets in Singapore, which it plans to sell. Earlier the company had set a deadline of June 19 deadline for offers. The company had advertised in the June 3 issue of Singapore daily Straits Times, seeking expressions of interest, which it said could take the form of a business sale, recapitalization or asset purchase. Mathew Whyte, Natural Fuel's chief financial officer, declined to comment on how many expressions of interest the company had received so far, and said it would probably take four to six months for the sale to be completed. One biodiesel producer told Platts it had sent in a request for more information about the plant. "My only concern is it is three times my [intended] capacity," a source at the biodiesel producer said.
