I'm curious if anyone knows whether CBR is still functioning normally.
Today is the end of October 2024, and CBR still hasn't released its FY2024 Q4 report and its FY2024 annual report (CBR released its FY2023 Q4 report at the end of July 2023 and its annual report in late August 2023).
In the past year, CBR hasn't won any new programs; the most recent one was announced in November 2023 for the German automaker program. Their planned factory in Mexico, which was supposed to start operations in 2027, now seems to be on hold with no recent updates.
The OIC $70 million funding is down to $5 million, with the last update on September 6th and no further news. I assume CBR is negotiating with OIC, especially since starting in January 2025, CBR needs to repay its debt to YUKI at $1 million per month (if I'm remembering correctly).
CBR's current share price is $3.6 (equivalent to $0.036 on ASX). When CBR delisted from ASX, its price was $0.135, which means CBR has dropped by 77% in its one year on NASDAQ.
Here's my holding – it’s a significant loss. It may take me several years on ASX to recover. I don't plan to buy more, nor do I intend to sell. I've always believed that for a startup company, burning cash isn’t the biggest issue; many companies burn billions annually, but investors look at growth potential. Consistent growth is key. CBR did well from 2020 to 2023 (which attracted investors), but in 2024, it seems like growth has stalled (hence the current share price of $3.6). Right now, the company really needs a NEW BIG PROGRAM to turn things around.
