I may have something of an answer.
BOE is a gold explorer also in Burkina Faso - maybe Cranston is trying to replicate AMX?
Interestingly, looking through the top shareholders from the May 2012 presentation - Paul Kitto's company, Precambrian Pty Ltd holds 5.8% of the shares. Overall BOE's register is pretty tight with 69% of shares being held by the top 20.
Like AMX, BOE has also been hammered recently. I've used the opportunity to pick up both.
