    AED has been vulnerable since production at its Puffin North-East field failed to achieve peak forecasts of 30,000 barrels a day. Mr Dix said it was producing 6000 to 7000 when the gas lift was operating properly and only 1000 when it was not. AED shut down production completely this week because of a cyclone.
