One of the main reasons I have invested in MOU is that primarily the coal will be used for energy generation as the coal quality permits it to and that is the direction mou and the Mongolian government seem to be suggesting and moving forward with
Although coking, coal is of a higher quality, it is used primarily in steelmaking, a sector that will continue to be further hit by the global downturn in steel production.
Two different sectors the steel making and energy generation coal markets.
As far as I'm aware energy is a given and a necessity in every market unlike steel production.
This is just my own view and how I see the two differences in the coal market.
MOU = Energy production therefore will move forward in a steady pace in Mongolia unlike our counter parts that have primarily coking coal steel production coal.
