I don't think too many people can envisage the disaster that is waiting to happen. Surely the collapse of the Nikkei by about 75% should alert investors?

The Dow dropped from 1030 to 600 in a bad bear market from early 1973 to the end of 1974. This time round it is likely to be much worse.
The printing presses have been going wild. The US is dependent on overseas investors to purchase their junk bonds. The country is trillions of dollars in debt. The state of the US economy is far worse now than it was at the beginning of 1973.
