one of the points that you are all missing is that an important element of B&B's dealings has been their perceived (and once actual) strength and agression - it is a truism that that has informed many of their deals.
Now that they are perceived to be weak, this is going to have a devastating effect on many of their commercial arrangements, joint ventures etc. This will lead to a dimunition of their asset value while their competitors and partners take full advantage of all aspects of their weakness and get 'even' in so many ways. Capitalism is brutal.......so is the market.
So it's not just the hedge funds - its co-venturers, competitors, partners etc
