Today it is all different chess game. Last 20 years China had so much investments from Western countries which became a backbone for its economy might and its military might simultaneously. Each time our politicians raised concerns about China's interference & military built up in South China sea and near our neighbours or near Australia's front door. they were shot down which made our politicians feared of political correction. Actually this has played into the hand of China's propaganda. China is in the front foot when came to propaganda, this is because China was so successful in using Chinese race card oversea. When came to race issue, our politicians were so scared to open up the debate. This is why China was so successful in its propaganda in all Western countries.
