I don't know what 1derful are doing but my assumption is that they are going to be one of the frontrunners to have an application/platform that utilises the Open Banking / Consumer Data Right standards.

So an app to make managing your money simpler.

If they can do this in an innovative way it could be popular. How does it make money? No idea but could offer alternative products for which they get a commission. e.g. analyse your accounts and find a home loan that is guaranteed to save you money based on your actual transactions. Or offer their own payments system for bills and purchases alla Afterpay et al.

All speculation on not much information, many fintechs will come and go but opportunities are there to make it big so fingers crossed. Consumers will welcome an app that does more than the current internet banking apps and be multi bank. i.e. look after the customers interests and not the financial institution.
