does god answer prayers??

watso used to be a religious person - but is now an atheist.

but does god answer prayers???? - london to a brick, he just ignores every prayer... ok - he does not really exist , but people think that he exists.

protestant christians, catholic christians, shia muslims, sunni muslims and jews (and all of their permutations) all pray to the same god - and look for answers - and in the present (or in the past) have been happily killing each other, in the name of the same god - just to prove a point.

luckily, these days, the christians seem to have resolved their differences about a non existent god - and they happily pray, and sometimes out of sheer luck there is a positive outcome to a prayer.

these days, the sunni and shia are still fighting over a 1000 year problem - and they happily kill each other, in honor of the common Abrahamic god (ie the god of the christians, muslims and jews) - and if watso's fading memory is correct, is that muslims should pray five days per day towards mecca.

surely, muslim prayers have also been answered from time to time (sheer luck, as far as watso is concerned), otherwise they would have given up by now..

watso recalls a tv show once, where a english crew member of a plane bombing germany, thought about praying to god, that he would be saved from the anti aircraft guns - but then realized, that the germans underneath would be praying that they would be spared from the bombs that he was dropping .

wake up you religious nutters - there is no god - and arguing over the correct path to heaven is a waste of time.

watso's upbringing was protestant - so the whole idea of the status of the pope, the virgin mary, and saints was anathema to his thinking - yet protestants and catholics happily killed each other to prove a point - ..


oh - yep, everybody (believers in the abrahamic god) prays to the same loving god - and yet kill each other , trying to find favour.

islam - the religion of peace??? - just like any religion - we would all live in peace, if we all believe in the same bit of rubbish.

keep praying everyone - but your prayers will not be answered. the non existent god, is way too busy listening to everybody else's prayers.

oh - watso having been brought up on the christian religion, and having sussed out the fraud of that religion... well watso has never been in the mood to try and find out the truth of other religions... one thing for sure, is that watso believes that all religions are just a waste of time.

when watso dies, that is the end of him - no after life, no virgins in heaven - just KAPUT.
