so maybe there is some kind of a creating force, but not one that is worth killing over
People dont usually get killed in wars fighting over whos God is better. They get caught up in a situation where one group or people become violently opposed to another. The initial problem may be political, resources or social customs/beliefs and it escalates. Out of loyalty or self defense more and more people are involved. Propaganda and revenge add to the emotion, may be some see the chance for benefiting from the situation. God often doesnt have a lot to do with it. I am not sure about Muslims there seems to be a school of thought that spreading that religion by warfare is sanctioned by Allah. May be, I do know there are moderate Muslims who preach and practise peace. Historically countries dominated by Christian Churches have waged wars, in some cases there has been little choice but to fight an aggressor, in other instances the cause may not have been noble. A religion and God isnt necessarily one.
