In the Old Testament, God chooses Abram, who was "very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold" (Gen 13:2), to build nations.
The story of Job, God gives Job more riches than he lost after Job showed unwavering devotion.
It looks like God loves rich people.
Yet, Jesus said in Matt 19:24, Mark 10:25, and Luke 18:25, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
