Amazing, in an era of ever advancing science and knowledge, people still want to, like to believe that a place like the holy book hell exists

Aucu ,what I often see is more logical thinking on the part of atheists (except when they swallow evolution theories) than I do from most religious organizations.
Religious organizations are soon to be held accountable for their efforts to blend pagan philosophical concepts with the Bible teachings when they are like oil & water. It has caused people to run from religion in droves.
An example is found in this thread in which we find many Hebrew & Greek words all translated as HELL. The idea that God is vindictive have led many to become atheists.
The simple teaching from the Bible is:
(Psalm 37:10, 11) Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

The wicked will suffer the same end as did Adam.
(Genesis 3:19) In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
