It's difficult to see how any sacred individual able and prepared to immerse himself in humanity would ignore what is for many the only "way of life" they know.
How often do we hear the plea "You don't know what it's like."
Of course this path will inevitably lead to condemnation from the entrenched and narrow minded.
That's not a problem even for me, let alone those taking on the task of "saviour".
