the picture is actually quite different ,denmark gets considerable advantages out of the deal, for example it is part and an important part of the arctic and can bat far above its weight there with a significant air base etc .
the other thing is what happens to the money plus money earnt by greenlanders from other activities well actually its all paid back to the danish for imports etc its just one big subsidy for denmark. so why would the denmark people want to give us a govt subsidy they would not get other wise
