    Hi, yes you're probably right about flash player. I also had exactly this problem here and at sharecafe. I still get the problem at kitco. Here is what admin at SCafe advised me. I downloaded the latest version of adobe as advised and have not had a problem from forums bristling with advertising since. Still have the problem at kitco however.

    It’s a safe bet that one of the advertising placements is causing the fan blasting effect you are referring to.

    Internet ads are generally deployed in Adobe Flash. Some flash files require heavy amounts of mathematical computation for elements such as animation, loops, or timers, thus use a much greater percentage of CPU usage and can affect performance on older PC’s.

    This probably isn’t the greatest piece of advice but if it’s happening across multiple sites one solution may be to simply uninstall flash player? If not try upgrading to the latest version of flash player - adobe
