When indigenous Australians fought for the right to vote they didn't want a "black vote", they wanted a normal vote like white Australians - equality. When women fought for the right to vote they did not want a women's vote (half of a male vote perhaps, they also wanted equality.
Same with homosexuals, they do not want something special for them, they just want equality.
