    Might be good in theory but most people do not have the ability to invest in shares safely

    If you look at how much the normal mum & dad type lost from their super in the last downturn it rules out your augment

    IMHO there is no such thing as a blue chip stock which will guarantee a safe investment with regular good dividends

    Just look at the list of blue chi[p stocks say 10- 20- 30 years ago

    At each time frame there are a goodish proportion of those BCS missing - never to be seen again

    The only safe option for the average lazy idiot is put the money in the bank and "be happy"

    I also agree that there are many rich, cash poor elderly people sitting on millions of dollars in property which will benefit their sons and daughters but not them
