    Thanks acorn, very good points and you are right, ex now is too unsure of his future so it is not a good idea.

    I was just thinking of how back when I was younger so many people (most that I heard of were Italians) were living together as a big family and all helping each other get a property....we Aussies just don't seem to do that.

    I will still keep thinking as Son wants to put money into my account each week so he will not be tempted to touch it.

    He will get everything when I pass, and I can handle any tax etc so I think for now I will leave it at that.

    Also before he ever wants to buy..I am going to suggest he put the same amount into the bank...mortgage, fees, all bills food etc and see if he can handle it for at least 6 months.
