Prayut can be likened to Cambodia more than Singapore. A dictator, but hopefully not for as long as Hun Sen. Every day he makes child-like threats like if any politicians do something he doesn't like, he'll delay elections again. He's hardly a positive for Thailand, only for the military, his friends, and the royalty.
The sporadic 'clean-up' seems more like a show to make him seem like a benevolent dictator, but more focused on his and his friends' opponents.
If the corruption ends up in the news, then it will be on his radar, ready for clean-up. Anything with publicity value to add to his every-channel TV speeches.
