Ignoring that, comparing the largest proposed open pit mine in North America to us is a tad too optimistic I feel ... what a problem to have.
It's a huge open pit project and it's also much closer to the coast and to fish habitat / the fish industry. Everyone has to design an environmentally acceptable proposal. Northern Dynasty Minerals announced plans to modify their proposal and on 26 June of this year the EPA announced they woould reconsider their effective ban. The system seems to be working as it should.
