@pintohoo; I had to go into Wodonga today [40,000 people] to get food and scripts filled. Unlike in Albury [50,000 people] just across the border into NSW everyone was wearing a mask, everyone was checking in via QR codes and everyone was keeping their distance - albeit only about one third of carparks were taken up.
Our Melbourne based son leads a team of about 100 technology professionals throughout SE Asia and he has just asked those in Greater Sydney how Covid compliance was going - his feedback to me was; "They've got NFI what's coming their way, Dad!" [btw, he almost never swears!].
I hope he's wrong since in pure self-interest terms, as of tonight and yet again our border bubble has already burst and what happens in Sydney will impact us for so long as it takes them to get their unfolding mess under control.
