No. Its simply a case of bashing a stock in the hope of a lower share price, selling more newspapers, trying to force cheap asset sales or assisting in the loss of competition - depending on who you are - everything else is total BS - bit like your posts really.
BTW, the AFR article, three staff leaving Centro, well, if you placn to sell off assets to reduce debt, then you probably need to lose some staff as the workload will drop off. There is also a matter of shedding staff if you can get some productivity or efficiency into the operations. At worst shedding staff is a (tiny) saving in OPEX.
PS: CNP sp had stopped at 34.5c for nearly 20 min (now some sales at 35c), perhaps 34.5c was the bottom? Also, buyer/seller has moved from a difference of 500+ to just on 350 - not seen this since last month.
