THE owner of a vicious, unregistered pit bull mastiff cross that mauled a little girl to death in a terrifying attack was today fined a total of $11,000.
Magistrate Martin Grinberg told Lazor Josevski, 58, that he accepted he was overwhelmed by distress at what had happened to four-year-old Ayen Chol.
Mr Grinberg said no sentence he could impose help relieve the grief of the family of the little girl.
He said a fine was the only penalty open to the court.
