I take my dog for a walk every morning and night, . I can only take him to Queens Park next to Centennial Park Sydney, late in the afternoon on weekends because kids play football and other games. SoI have to take him on the footpath instead. The ordinary people I run into is amazing.Take today for instance. Coffee Shops are big trouble. I was walking past one and a dog dives out from under a table and attacks my dog which is on a leash. If he retaliated he would of killed the mongrel but he wiggles his tale instead. I say to the bloke mate it should be on a leash and if I had small child it might of got bitten. His girlfriend says to him, tell the effing geriatric to eff off. So I said to him, I should report you for bestiality you know its illegal to have sex with animals and walk off. 200 metres further I see woman veer off the footpath in front of me and go on the road. As she passes me she says you should have a muzzle on that effing dog. I say to her your a freak of nature love I have never heard a dog talk before. She replies, I am going to get my husband and then we will see how big your mouth is. I said do what you like. Walk another 300 metres and pass another Coffee Shop , there is a small dog tied up. My dog wiggles his tale so I let him have a sniff, the thing bites him about 4 times and all he does is look at it and wiggle his tale. ANOTHER WOMAN starts abusing me telling me to go you know where. By this stage I have had enough so I just keep walking. She just keeps up the abuse as I WALK OFF. During the week when I go to the park there are dogs everywhere running around nobody ever abuses me and my dog in fact its the reverse, all he does is play. I guess the lesson I have learnt out of this is, most dogs I see on the weekends are frustrated and don't play with other dogs because their owners are too lazy or havn't the time to really look after their pet. All I can see is big trouble if I continue to walk my dog on the weekend. The only alternative is get up at 6am before the cappuccino set get out of bed.

The city is becoming sicker, by the day, from top to bottom. Why don't you consider a move to the freedom of county living. Southern Highlands is beautiful if you don't mind a cooler climate. Everything you'd ever need is here and only a couple of hours drive from Sydney or an hour and a half by train.

I used to keep a horse at the Showground. Riding around the track some drunken hoons threw a bottle at us from their car and the horse went crazy. I fell very hard. The hoons just went on their merry way and the horse bolted in the direction of the showground. Fortunately he was caught at the gates and taken back to the stables by some other riders. My hip has never been quite the same since, despite x-rays that evening giving the all clear, plus lost a 21st birthday earring which wasn't a cheapie.

Such experiences leave a nasty taste.
