I must qualify by saying, I too am not a geologist but I do know hat a 4m composite sample is where the same amount is taken from all of the 4 x1m sample bags and are composited together, Therefore all samples are smoothed and donot have the highs or spikes that single samples do.
So if the geo sees a comp sample over 1 g/t he can speculate that either one sample is 4 g/t or two are 2 g/t. Either way it is a way of cutting down on assaying cost.
That is why these results are still good because they indicate that there is significant gold adjacent to the old Wattle Dam mine, the highest grade mine operating in Australia during its time.
I am not an advisor but I do have a memory of previous mines....
