I think you are very overly optimistic
Lets say a 737 costs $80m. (This is about the list price I believe airlines get a big discount) and
the plane lasts 20 years.
An airline might expect 10% on investment (high at the moment of low interest rates) so would want to
make $8m per year and write of $4m per year i.e. total sum of .$12m/per year
Divide this by 365 =$32876 per day.
Okay you have to hire a hanger and pay people to do the maintenance but offsetting this you can do
the inspection during a period of low aircraft requirements
