Just goes to show that their "educated" guesses are still just that - guesses!
Nobody - not even experts, strategists, and analysts (especially analysts) can predict the future. Far too many extrinsic influences, that we don't even know that we don't know about.... but we don't want to get into the Rumsfeld quotes now, do we? ;)
