They are still building the quivalent of 1 city of Brisbane per year in China. Actually the numbers I heard may have been two cities of Brisbane. Either way a bucket load of construction is going on.


I don't see this letting up either. China has an obscene amount of money in Sovereign Funds. It's a Global (ex-China) Financial Crisis.

PS: As an aside, this is the major issue I have with holding resource/mineral stocks as an investment. Even companies like BHP and RIO. They are just too volatile. What I love about Financial Services and Property sectors respectively is that they are not 'commodities".

It also brings to mind something (Warren) Buffett said:

"My favourite holding period is forever". This Carbon Footprint and going green nonsense....What effect will it have on all these resource companies who pump out LPG, Petroleum and Coal in 20,30,40 years. This time frame is certainly in my lifetime.....unless I get a coronary before hand because of CER....
