Maybe I did not articulate myself well.
If product is sold under contract, then assuming it is supplied as agreed, de facto it is 'specific' to a customer.
If product goes to the spot market then it is not specific.
Assuming most product is sold under contract then it has to be specific to customer demands. My point is that this may, or may not, be at a premium to basket prices. We just don't know.
We can speculate, guess, hope, dream etc, but on one knows and to suggest a much higher profitability, is pure speculation - IMO.
And that is where the speculation is, and the other ideas that are suggested for higher than basket prices.
These folks may be right in their speculation, but they may not be. All the fun of the SM.
Jan 2014, we will have a clearer picture.
